PG Alum Makhi Myles '24 Signs with UAB
Myles becomes third Division I commit and sixth commit overall from 2024 post graduate team
Class of 2024 wing Makhi Myles signed with UAB (University of Alabama Birmingham) of the American Conference, becoming the third Buffalo in this year's post graduate class to commit to a Division I program. Myles averaged 14.5 points and 7.0 rebounds per game this past season as the program once again was invited to the Prep Nationals Showcase in Worcester, MA to end the season where they finished in the Elite Eight. UAB Head Coach Andy Kennedy commented on the signing saying that, "Makhi adds tremendous length, versatility and shot making to our front court. Makhi originally signed at Wichita State, but after a coaching change, decided to do a prep year at prestigious Sunrise Christian Academy where he continued to develop into a player who we believe will have a tremendous career at UAB."
Myles spoke on his commitment stating, "I chose UAB because it has has a winning culture and they keep getting better every year. They are also close too home. I met the staff and some of the players - I feel like they really believe in me and are going to develop me and help take my game to the next level."

In between those two seasons came an NIT Finals appearance where they ended as runner up to North Texas. 2024 was their first season as a member of the American Conference and yet they won the conference tournament as the #4 seed to earn a bid to the NCAA's.
