Sunrise Elite's Kany Tchanda ('24) Commits to Boston College

Wichita, KS - Sunrise Christian Academy is thrilled to announce that Kany Tchanda has committed to sign with the Boston College Eagles. After a program leading effort from both inside and outside the arc, the versatile weapon heads to the Conte Forum in Boston looking to contribute to an Eagles squad that was 20-16 in head coach Earl Grant's third season in charge.

When asked about the commitment, Coach Kyle Lindsted had a lot to say: "We are so proud of and happy for Kany, he has certainly shown his commitment to the game by being away from his family for the last 3 years. Feel very blessed to be a part of him achieving one of his goals and dreams by committing to Boston College." He continued, "Kany is not only a very good player but an even better person. He is truly a joy to work with and coach, his growth and development in his short time at Sunrise have been incredible to see. So happy he has chosen to play at Boston College under coach Earl Grant - a trusted friend and coach who will do an excellent job developing and caring for Kany."

Tchanda led the Sunrise program in 3PT % at 50% as well as from 2 at 63.2%. He also helped to play the roll of rim protector throughout the season, racking up 16 blocks. He also finished EYBL Scholastic play Top 20 in the conference in rebounds and blocked shots.

Sunrise Christian Academy is a college-preparatory, nondenominational, K4-12 Christian school graduating 45-50 seniors each year with enrollment well over 600 students.
