Chidi Nwigwe ('26) Joins the Sunrise Family
Wichita, KS - Sunrise Christian Academy is thrilled to announce the enrollment of Chidi Nwigwe, a part of the class of 2026 from Oradel, NJ. Chidi has consistently ranked as one of the top 25 players in his class, and has participated as a Team USA Basketball Minicamp Invitee as well as attended the CP3 Rising Stars Camp.
"At Sunrise Christian Academy, we pride ourselves on maximizing the potential of our athletes through proven processes and exceptional people," stated Head Coach Kyle Lindsted. "We are incredibly excited to bring a player and person of Chidi's caliber in to the family here at Sunrise. One of the defining features of a person is how they are able to handle hard, and everything our staff has seen from him has been nothing short of impressive. We are eager to get to work with him and his family to build on the tools that he already brings to the table and help work towards the bright future that we're confident lies ahead."
"When recruits and their families commit to being a part of Sunrise Christian Academy, that is Day 1," noted Coach Kyle Lindsted. "We're always going to do everything we can to empower Chidi to be his very best and are excited that the Nwigwe family has made the decision to join the same family as many Buffaloes before them."
Sunrise Christian Academy looks forward to Chidi's arrival in August and their future contributions to both the school & basketball program, aiming for its sixth High School Nationals appearance in the past seven years and second NIBC/EYBL Scholastic title in the fourth year of the conference's existence.
