SCA Hosting Third Annual Air Capital Hoopfest
The top programs and players in the country competing in Wichita on February 7th-8th
BEL AIRE, KS - For the third year in a row, the top high school basketball talent will be in the area as Sunrise Christian Academy hosts the Air Capital Hoopfest. This year the event will be held on campus at Newman University at Fugate Gymnasium and will include several Top 25 programs including Sunrise Christian Academy, Link Academy, AZ Compass Prep, and Veritas Academy. Many of the top 2025 and 2026 recruits in the country are slated to participate including Sunrise's own 2026 ranked class of Chidi Nwigwe, Gavin Placide, Gallagher Placide, and Aidan Chronister. When asked about the event, Coach Lindsted shared some thoughts on the 3rd annual event, "It is an honor for us to host such a high-level basketball event in our city, and we are excited to represent our school and our community."
"The Air Capital Hoopfest is going to be two amazing days of basketball competition," said Kevin Jenks, president/CEO of the Wichita Sports Commission. "Kyle Lindsted and his squad at Sunrise Christian Academy are one of the nation's elite basketball schools, and we are proud to partner with them and Visit Wichita to bring top level high school hoops to Wichita."

Sunrise Christian Academy is a college-preparatory, nondenominational, K4-12 Christian school graduating 45-50 seniors each year with enrollment well over 600 students. While the Academy recently celebrated its 40th birthday, the basketball program was placed in the hands of Kyle Lindsted in 2000.
